Policy 3522 – Milk Program

The School Board may make additional milk available to students participating in the school nutrition programs. Milk may be made available at times outside of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to eligible students enrolled in prekindergarten to grade 5 through the Wisconsin School Day Milk Program.

The ÁùºÏ²Ê½á¹û½ñÆÚ shall purchase milk free from synthetic bovine growth hormone (rBGH) if it does not jeopardize federal subsidies that the ÁùºÏ²Ê½á¹û½ñÆÚ receives to offset the cost of school meals.

When milk is made available to students who do not participate in the school nutrition programs or is made available at times other than meal periods, an established fee in accordance with the USDA Non-Program Foods pricing requirements shall be charged for the milk, as determined by the Food Service Director.
